We, at Lamborghini Club UK would like to extend an invitation to all lamborghini owners to come and join us at this amazing weekend. We have made arrangements with Whittlebury Hall to hold rooms for us until the end of February 2013 to give us time to co-ordinate our event. Also, special rates for tickets for the weekend of racing until the end of March.

We have been invited to parade the cars on the circuit on Saturday afternoon. As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations this year, we are attempting to have 100 (or more) lamborghinis on the circuit, which is also being filmed for international circulation. This has never been done before so please come and join us to be a part of a historic moment with the most amazing collection of cars in the world.

LCUK are also holding their Car of the Year awards at this prestigious event and would like to present a “visitor” award for best car attending.

As part of Rico Rally 2013 we will be crossing* the Col de l’Iseran which at 2,770 metres (9,090 ft) is the highest paved mountain pass in the Alps.  The pass is part of the Route des Grandes Alpes and connects the valley of the Isère and Arc River between Val-d’Isère in the north and Bonneval-sur-Arc in the south.

The north side of the pass road is well built with a number tunnels [hope your exhausts are loud).  The southern side opens up and has some amazing views as you descend towards one of France’s most beautiful villages, Bonneval sur Arc – a good place for a coffee stop if time allows.

Taking place between January 10th and 13th the annual Autosport International Show at the NEC, Birmingham is the largest exhibition for motorsport and high performance car companies in Europe. Once again Rico Rally will be there to show you what our European roadtrip is all about and talk about just how much fun a driving holiday can be.

Over the two trade days (Thursday 10th and Friday 11th January 2013) around 30,000 trade visitors will transact over £400 million of business.  The show continues, with a public bias, for two further days (Saturday and Sunday) until January 13th, attracting around another 65,000 visitors.

Officially the third highest mountain pass in the Alps the Stelvio Pass is a stunning road with the wall of 48 switchback turns running up its north face – it really is a true sight to behold.

Top Gear has claimed that the Stelvio Pass is the best driving road in the world. (skip to 8 minutes into the video link)

It’s not the most beautiful, but certainly one of the most dramatic mountain passes to drive in the European Alps.
