Col de L’Iseran

Col de L'Iseran driving holiday

As part of Rico Rally 2013 we will be crossing* the Col de l’Iseran which at 2,770 metres (9,090 ft) is the highest paved mountain pass in the Alps.  The pass is part of the Route des Grandes Alpes and connects the valley of the Isère and Arc River between Val-d’Isère in the north and Bonneval-sur-Arc in the south.

The north side of the pass road is well built with a number tunnels

[hope your exhausts are loud).  The southern side opens up and has some amazing views as you descend towards one of France’s most beautiful villages, Bonneval sur Arc – a good place for a coffee stop if time allows.

If you like what you see then book with us for our 2013 roadtrip that takes in the Col de L’Iseran as part of a 6 day 2,000 mile driving holiday
