Our 4 day/4 night event immerses us in Irelands rich history and dramatic scenery. We’ll drive stunning sections of the Wild Atlantic Way, the complete Ring of Kerry, the Wicklow mountains, Loop Head and the Sky Road, to name a few, visiting iconic locations such as Blarney Castle, the Rock of Cashel and the Cliffs of Moher along the way. Throw in numerous castles, beaches, rivers, villages and waterfalls, add plenty of Irelands famous hospitality & night life and we are set for an unforgettable road trip.
Wild Atlantic Way
Majestic cliffs, endless beaches and deserted castles await discovery as we take in some of the best sections of the longest coastal driving route in the world.
Ring of Kerry
Sweeping views of mountains, lakes, forests, a rugged coastline and a chocolate factory with free samples – what more do you want?
Blarney Castle
Just one of the many castles and ancient forts that Ireland has to offer and which we’ll be passing on our adventure.
Night Life
Overnight stays in Galway, Cork and Killarney with more pubs, music, Guinness and great food than you could wish for.
Lough Tay
We get the very best view of Lough Tay just after Sally Gap in the Wicklow Mountains. One of many Loughs, rivers and waterfalls we will see on our route.
Cliffs of Moher
Towering above the crashing Atlantic, the Cliffs of Moher are an awe-inspiring must-see on our journey up the Wild Atlantic Way.

What’s NOT Included?
Your ferry crossing to and from Ireland *
You will need to arrange your own ferry crossing from and back to the UK. Please speak to us if you require help with this.
In our experience, low ground clearance vehicles may have difficulty getting on and off certain ferries – contact the ferry company if you have any concerns.
The event ‘registration’ is in the evening of Monday 23rd of May at the first night hotel. This is less than an hour from Dublin port.

Will I enjoy this event?
This road trip will take us through 16 counties on some of Irelands most scenic driving roads enjoying great company along the way.
Meet up each evening either in the hotel or explore the local town to find yourself a great restaurant/bar.
Please be aware that whilst most roads are fine, some are very narrow with ‘passing places’. The road surfaces are generally good, though the roads can be quite undulating.
We also take a short ferry across the Shannon estuary which is not suitable for low ground clearance vehicles. An alternate route is available.
This trip is designed to be taken at a relaxed pace, stopping frequently to take in the views, walk on a beach, visit a castle, take a photo etc.
If you are a ‘get from A to B as fast as you can’ person, then we do not recommend this event for you.

Our hotels are selected not only for their excellent quality but also for parking and ease of access in to town for the local nightlife.
What vehicles are eligible?
Rico Rally is open to all makes and types of vehicles, if you want to drive great roads and make new friends then this driving adventure is for you.
So what’s the cost?
Just £595 per person, based on 2 people per car, sharing accommodation. We require a £150 per person deposit to secure your place, with the balance due by February 23rd 2022. A final balance invoice will be emailed to you before this date.
RICO RALLY IS NOT A RACE, TIME TRIAL OR GUIDED TOUR – it is a navigational road trip where you will be provided daily end points and detailed suggested routes. You will need to navigate your way using your own sat-nav. There are always fellow Rico Rally’ers, staff cars or locals on hand to help!
Daily mileages vary. You may find some challenging but there are often shorter day options. There is no scheduled night driving and the suggested routes aim to get you to the hotels with plenty of time to socialise and enjoy the facilities. There are no time constraints or arrival deadlines. Whether you’re mates, a couple or family members, everyone is welcome.
