Spa Circuit

A spectacular and always popular Track to run at your own pace for the day Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps

drive the route 500 in germany

The Black Forest

The sweeping roads of Germany’s Route 500, including the magnificent Schwarzwaldhochstrasse – the Black Forest Highway – which climbs from Baden-Baden through an idyllic combination of pines and meadows, valleys and peaks to Freudenstadt.

Namlos Valley

You’ll want to concentrate on the road ahead but we guarantee you will be distracted by the stunning views around you as you travel through on e of Austria’s amazing area’s.

Timmelsjoch

Timmelsjoch is a high mountain pass that creates a link through the Ötztal Alps along the border between Austria and Italy. The Timmelsjoch connects the Ötztal valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol to the Passeier Valley in the Italian province of South Tyrol, as it bridges the saddle point between the Jochköpfl and Wurmkogl  peaks to its northeast and southwest, respectively. The pass is sometimes called the “secret passage” because it is little-used compared to the much easier and lower Brenner Pass some 25 kilometres to its east, and Reschen Pass some 60 kilometres  to its west.

Silvretta Pass

The Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße is one of the most beautiful and popular mountain roads in the Alps. It is no coincidence that it is also called “the dream road in the Alps for connoisseurs”. The spectacular mountain backdrop of Silvretta and the Vermunt and Silvretta lakes, which the road passes directly by, cast a spell over visitors, whether driving or on foot.

Furka Pass

Immortalised by the DB5 / Mustang car chase in Goldfinger, this is another stunning 5 star pass in the central Swiss Alps, . Tight switchbacks, long sweeping curves along the rock-face of the valley for around 5 to 6 KM. Visibility forward is fantastic, roads surface immaculate, so it’s a road that you really can “drive” and really puts a big smile on your face. At the end of this initial stretch, you then turn back on yourself, the Furka Pass then gets steeper, with a series of great switchbacks.

Susten Pass

The Susten Pass is another outstanding high mountain pass in the central Swiss Alps, and what is part of what is collectively referred to as the “Big 3” passes, which also includes Grimsel and Furka. In fact, it may be less well known than the Furka, but without doubt this is the greatest driving road of the three, and in out opinion (provided you catch it at a quiet time) probably the best driving road in Switzerland,

Superior Hotels

We choose our hotels carefully and there’s always at least 1 pool on the trip so make sure you pack your swimwear.

Ballon d’Alsace

The Ballon d’Alsace, at 1,247m/4,091ft, is the highest peak of the Southern Vosges Mountains. A footpath leads to the top and to a superb panorama of the Alsace plains and Black Forest, and even as far the Mont Blanc on a clear day. A road dating back to Louis XV allows you to pass the Col du Ballon pass to reach the Alfeld and Sewen lakes and commands a number of lovely viewpoints
