Ireland
Sunday 23rd – Friday 28th May 2027
A memorable 5-night road trip combining some of Ireland’s most rewarding driving roads with rugged coastlines, mountain scenery, historic towns and a character that makes this trip feel very different from our Alpine adventures.
We’ll stay in carefully selected hotels, including two nights in Killarney, while travelling across the south and west of Ireland.
The organisation is taken care of, including return ferry crossings, with a souvenir event brochure covering suggested daily routes, recommended stops and useful information for each day – giving you plenty of guidance while still leaving room to enjoy the journey your own way.
The adventure starts and finishes in the UK, backed by our experience of creating memorable driving holidays since 2012.

A Different Kind of Driving Holiday
Unlike our Alpine trips, Ireland isn’t built around a succession of mountain passes. The appeal comes from combining rewarding roads with coastal scenery, viewpoints, historic places and plenty of opportunities to stop and explore along the way.
This trip is designed to be enjoyed at a more relaxed pace, with time to experience the places we visit rather than simply covering the miles. Expect more stops, more time out of the car and a journey where the destinations are just as important as the driving.
If your preference is simply to get from A to B as quickly as possible, this probably isn’t the right event for you. But if you enjoy taking your time and discovering what lies along the route, Ireland offers something genuinely different from our European Alpine trips.
The Route
From the UK we cross to Ireland and head through the Wicklow Mountains and Copper Coast, then continue west through Cork and Killarney before following the Atlantic coast towards Galway and Connemara.
Along the way, we take in Healy Pass, the Ring of Kerry, Skellig Ring, Conor Pass, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and more – a varied mix of mountain roads, sweeping coastal routes and quieter roads through some of Ireland’s most distinctive landscapes.
